Incident Overview
A 15-year-old boy has been charged following investigations into a fatal head-on e-bike collision at Mountain Creek on 30 October 2025. Emergency crews were called to the Kawana Way and Sunshine Motorway interchange around 3:36pm, where two e-bikes had collided. An eight-year-old boy, who had been riding home from school, suffered critical injuries and later died at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Police later arrested the other child involved in the collision.
