Incident Overview
Detectives from the Mount Isa Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 28-year-old man following a fatal traffic crash at Doomadgee on 7 November. Emergency services were called to Doomadgee Road around 6:30am, where the driver and four passengers were found with serious injuries. A 30-year-old Cloncurry woman, who was driving, and a 10-year-old girl later died as a result of their injuries. Three other passengers sustained serious injuries. Police have now charged a man with multiple domestic violence-related offences, including murder and attempted murder.
