Police have charged a man following a fatal hit-and-run traffic crash in Lyons on Sunday, December 8.
It will be alleged, at approximately 11.40am, a grey Nissan Navara crashed into a blue Yamaha Motorcycle on Ripley Road at the intersection with Undullah Road.
A 60-year-old Beenleigh man, the motorcycle rider, died at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, a 28-year-old Minden man, failed to remain at the scene and continued north on Ripley Road.
He has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and driver fail to remain at incident and render assistance, and two counts of driving without a driver’s licence.
He is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court today, December 10.
