A young woman critically injured in a single vehicle crash at Helidon in the early hours of this morning has passed away in hospital.
The 24-year-old Toowoomba woman, was travelling in the vehicle with a 27-year-old Toowoomba man, when the vehicle left the Warrego Highway around 2am colliding with a tree.
Both were airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
