A 49-year-old Manunda man has been charged following Forensic Crash Unit investigations into a fatal traffic crash in December last year.
Police will allege the man was driving a truck along the Bruce Highway through Gordonvale around 6am on December 8 when he crossed into the opposite lane, colliding with a Mazda BT-50 and Toyota Hilux.
The driver of the Toyota Hilux, a 26-year-old White Rock man, was transported in a critical condition to Cairns Hospital where he died a short time later.
The 49-year-old man has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and is due to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court on Friday March 31.
