An 11-year-old boy has passed away following a traffic crash in Biloela last week.

On Thursday November 3 the child was riding a bicycle along Bell Street around 5.40pm.

Preliminary information indicates a ute was travelling along Prairie Street when a collision between the vehicle and bicycle occurred at the intersection of the two streets.

The child was airlifted to Brisbane Children’s Hospital in a critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver, a 25-year-old Biloela woman, was physically unharmed.

Investigations are ongoing.
