Incident Overview

A 33-year-old man sustained a significant hip injury in an alleged hit-and-run incident at Underwood on Thursday, 16 July 2026.

Location and Time

The incident occurred on Logan Road near the Pacific Motorway southbound on-ramp at about 8.30am.

Reported Sequence

Police reported that a white van and a silver SUV were involved in a minor collision while travelling south. After both vehicles stopped and a passenger exited the SUV, police allege that the van mounted the kerb, struck the man and continued from the scene.

Injuries

The man was taken to hospital in a stable condition with a significant hip injury.

Police Investigation

The van’s driver later attended Springwood Police Station and is assisting officers with their enquiries. Investigations remain ongoing.
