Incident Overview
A two-year-old boy has died following a tragic vehicle incident on a rural property in Abergowrie, near Ingham, in North Queensland on Thursday afternoon, November 6, 2025.

Emergency services were called to the property on Venables Road, near a sugar cane farm, just after 1:00 pm following reports that a vehicle had collided with a young child.

Despite desperate efforts by a resident to resuscitate the boy before paramedics arrived, the toddler could not be saved.

Police have described the death as non-suspicious and are investigating the circumstances under which the vehicle came into contact with the child. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
