Incident Overview
A man and woman, both in their 20s, died following a head-on collision between two hatchbacks on Ipswich-Boonah Road near Purga, west of Brisbane. The crash occurred at approximately 12:30pm on Monday, 13 April 2026, involving a Suzuki hatchback and a Mazda hatchback travelling in opposite directions. Both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles and died at the scene. A 26-year-old man from Moores Pocket and a 21-year-old woman from Silkstone were identified as the deceased.
