A ute carrying a 45-year-old male driver and three female passengers collided head-on with a sedan driven by a 27-year-old man. The impact of the crash caused significant damage to both vehicles and left the sedan driver trapped inside.
Injuries and Emergency Response
Emergency services, including rescue personnel, paramedics, and police, responded to the scene. The 27-year-old driver of the sedan was trapped in his vehicle for approximately an hour before being freed. He sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in serious but stable condition.
One of the ute’s passengers, a 19-year-old woman, also suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Another 19-year-old female passenger and a woman in her 40s sustained minor injuries. The 45-year-old male driver of the ute was uninjured.

The ute driver was taken to Gosford Police Station for questioning but has since been released pending further inquiries. The Old Pacific Highway was closed in both directions following the crash, causing significant traffic delays. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and have urged motorists to avoid the area.
