Incident Overview
A truck driver has been charged following a fatal three-vehicle crash on the Princes Highway at Frogs Hollow, about 13 kilometres south of Bega, New South Wales. The crash occurred late Thursday morning and resulted in the death of a ute driver.

Injuries / Fatalities
- Deceased: 56-year-old male ute driver, died at the scene
- Injured: Male and female occupants of the car, both aged in their 70s, sustained minor injuries and were hospitalised
Crash Description
The crash involved a truck, a ute, and a car in the Frogs Hollow area. Emergency services arrived to find significant damage to all vehicles. The ute driver was declared deceased at the scene despite paramedic efforts. The Princes Highway was closed for 18 hours to allow for scene examination by the NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit.
Charges
The 21-year-old truck driver was arrested and later charged with:
- Dangerous driving occasioning death
- Negligent driving occasioning death
He was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Bega Local Court in September 2025.
Investigation
The NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit is continuing inquiries to determine the full circumstances of the collision. The cause has not yet been confirmed.
