Introduction: A collision between a car and a school bus occurred near a railway level crossing in Traralgon, east of Melbourne, resulting in two individuals being hospitalized. Fortunately, the bus driver and the approximately 20 high school students on board escaped with minimal or no injuries.

Crash Overview: The incident took place around 3:50 pm on Thursday at the intersection of Bank Street and Princes Highway in Traralgon. A car collided with the school bus, which was carrying students on their way home.

Injuries and Emergency Response: Two people, including the 39-year-old driver of the car, were transported to Latrobe Regional Health with non-life-threatening injuries. Seventeen other individuals, including the bus driver and students, were assessed at the scene, with most found to be uninjured.

Investigation: Victoria Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. They have yet to determine the exact cause of the collision and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.

Conclusion: While this incident resulted in injuries, it is fortunate that the majority of those involved, particularly the schoolchildren, were unharmed. This serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and caution on the roads, especially in areas with high pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
