In a sorrowful update to Monday’s catastrophic multi-vehicle accident on the Pacific Mwy near Wahroonga, a second victim has now died. The crash initially claimed the life of a 27-year-old man and has now taken another, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety on NSW highways.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday when a vehicle, driven by a 96-year-old man traveling southbound, collided head-on with three northbound vehicles. The crash resulted in immediate fatalities and severe disruptions along the Pacific Mwy.

The elderly driver responsible for the southbound vehicle was critically injured and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night.
