A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a crash in Pink Lily yesterday.

It will be alleged just before 4pm, the man deliberately drove a Triton utility into an office building on Canoona Road near the Rockhampton Airport.

The driver, a man in his 40s, tried to flee the scene but was arrested by police nearby.

The 42-year-old Pink Lily man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, wilful damage, unlawful entry of motor vehicle, fail to comply with duties of driver involved in crash and obstruct police.

He will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.
