Police investigating a two vehicle crash at Birtinya today are seeking public assistance to identify the driver of a black utility.

Initial information suggest at about 3pm, the utility was travelling on Kawana Link Road before it collided with a bus at the intersection with Creekside Boulevard, causing the bus to leave the roadway then roll over.

The driver of the bus and his two passengers suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Black Holden ute fled the scene on foot.

Investigators would like to speak with any witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage that may have travelled Kawana Link Rd in the lead up to the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
