Incident Overview
A serious head-on crash occurred in Lidcombe , Western Sydney, on Friday, May 23, 2025 , at approximately 11:45 pm , injuring three people — one seriously and two with minor injuries.

Emergency crews spent around 40 minutes extracting the 60-year-old male van driver , who was taken to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries. The 20-year-old BMW driver and his 17-year-old female passenger were also injured and transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries .

Both vehicles sustained severe damage , with emergency services having to remove the van’s roof and windscreen to free the trapped occupant. Police are now investigating the circumstances of the crash.
