Injuries/Fatalities
Tragically, a 19-year-old male passenger from the station wagon died in hospital on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, after being airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne due to the severity of his injuries. Two other passengers from the station wagon, aged 15 and 19, were taken to Albury Base Hospital with leg and foot injuries. Four other passengers from the station wagon sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The female driver of the ute was fortunately unharmed in the incident.
Emergency Response
Emergency services, including paramedics and rescue crews, attended the scene. Rescuers worked to free the two trapped passengers from the station wagon. Paramedics treated the injured at the scene and transported those with more serious injuries to the hospital.
