Police and Dog Squad tracked the man a short distance away where he was arrested.

It will be further alleged a quantity of drugs was located in the vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen from Mackay Harbour on July 13.

The 31-year-old Clinton man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a driver licence, and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court today.
