Police are investigating after a motorcyclist was struck by an alleged stolen vehicle at Wynnum West this morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Kianawah and Youngs Roads at around 9.20am following reports of a serious traffic crash involving a car and motorbike.

The occupants of the vehicle allegedly fled the scene.

The 59-year-old male motorcyclist was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries.

Police established an immediate cordon of the area and a 15-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy were taken into custody near the scene a short time later.

They are currently assisting police with inquiries.

The vehicle involved in the crash was allegedly stolen from a residence in Wynnum West in the early hours of this morning.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and police are appealing for anyone with further information or dashcam vision of the vehicle, a white 2014 Nissan X-Trail with Qld registration 433VMK, to come forward.
