The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious two-vehicle traffic crash in Ormiston this afternoon, May 14.

Initial investigations indicate at 2.30pm, an 87-year-old Birkdale man was travelling along Northern Arterial Road when he has collided with another vehicle.

The 87-year-old Birkdale man was transported to Princess Alexander Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle received minor injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
