A man has sustained critical injuries following a serious motorcycle crash in Imbil last night, Friday August 26.

Preliminary information indicates around 10pm a 2008 Harley Davidson was travelling westbound along  Yabba Creek Road toward Borumba Dam when the rider has come off on approach to bridge number 5.

A passing motorist stopped to render assistance to the rider and raised the alarm.

The rider, a 48-year-old Mount Archer man was later airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Woman’s Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
