A serious crash involving two cars and an e-scooter has resulted in significant injuries and traffic disruptions in Pimpama, a suburb on the Gold Coast.

Crash Details
The incident occurred around 7:00 AM on Tuesday at the intersection of Creek St and Mirambeena Dr. A woman driving one of the cars sustained a severe arm injury and was urgently transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Injuries and Response
In addition to the seriously injured woman, two men were also affected by the crash. One man was operating the e-scooter, and the other was driving the second car involved. Both men were taken to the hospital in stable conditions, receiving prompt medical treatment for their injuries.

Impact on Traffic
The accident has led to the closure of Creek St, a key service road running parallel to the busy Pacific Mwy. The closure and the morning peak hour timing have caused significant slowdowns on the highway, impacting many commuters heading towards Brisbane.

Ongoing Investigations
Police have initiated a forensic investigation to determine the dynamics of the crash, focusing on how such a diverse set of vehicles came to collide. The findings will help improve road safety measures and prevent future incidents.

This incident highlights the potential hazards at busy intersections and the importance of vigilance on the road. Commuters in the area are advised to seek alternative routes if possible and to keep updated on traffic conditions. Further updates will be provided as investigations continue and recovery efforts for the injured parties are underway.
