Introduction
NSW Police are investigating an alleged assault that occurred in Rutherford, near Newcastle, earlier this year. The victim, a 38-year-old man, was found with facial injuries and claims to have been forced into a vehicle and taken to another location where the assault took place.

Rutherford Assault Overview
On February 28, the 38-year-old victim was found with facial injuries in Rutherford. Police believe the man was forced into a black Holden sedan in the Maitland area early on February 27th.

Medical Treatment and Investigation
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before transporting him to Maitland Hospital, where he was treated and later released. NSW Police are investigating the incident and believe the victim may have been transferred to a second black Holden sedan later that day.

Police Release CCTV Footage
Police have released CCTV footage of three men who may be able to assist with their inquiries. The men are described as Caucasian and in their 30s. The footage shows them wearing distinct clothing, including white T-shirts, black shorts, black jumpers with white stripes, black pants, navy-coloured T-shirts, and light-coloured shorts. All three men are wearing baseball caps.

Call for Witnesses
Police are urging anyone who recognizes the men in the CCTV footage or has any information about the Rutherford assault to come forward.
