Incident Overview
Queensland Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash at Prospect in Central Queensland that left a 27-year-old man in a critical condition on Tuesday, 15 September 2026.
Initial enquiries indicate a white Isuzu D-Max was travelling east on the Dawson Highway shortly before 12.15am. Police said the utility began to veer right towards Prospect Creek Goovigen Road, left the roadway, rolled and struck a tree. The driver was the vehicle’s only occupant.

The crash involved a white Isuzu D-Max driven by a 27-year-old Boyne Island man. Police reported that he was the sole occupant.
Injuries and Emergency Response
The driver was initially taken to Biloela Hospital before being transferred to Rockhampton Hospital. Police said he remained in a critical condition when the appeal was released.
