Incident Overview

Two teenage boys sustained critical injuries in a two-car collision at Palmview on Sunday, 12 July 2026.

Location and Time

The collision occurred on Frizzo Road and Pignata Road at about 2.05am.

Reported Sequence

Police allege that a black sedan was being driven dangerously before it collided with a red hatchback.

Injuries

Boys aged 15 and 17 were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with critical injuries. The 17-year-old was later reported to be in a serious but stable condition. The 15-year-old was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition. The other driver, an 18-year-old man, sustained minor injuries.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
