A 19-year-old motorbike rider has died after crashing during a police pursuit in Zetland late Friday night, 14 November. Police attempted to stop the rider on Southern Cross Drive shortly before midnight after observing the bike travelling above the speed limit. The rider allegedly failed to stop and a pursuit commenced before he collided with the rear of a van travelling ahead. Despite efforts from police and paramedics, he died at the scene.
