Incident Overview
A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of King Street and Bellemere Road , in Caboolture , Queensland, on Sunday, April 6, 2025 , at approximately 6:30 pm , resulting in the deaths of two women and serious injuries to a one-year-old boy.

Police allege that the 26-year-old driver of a Hyundai i20 , was intoxicated , speeding , and ran a red light before colliding with a Fuso Canter delivery truck turning onto Bellemere Road.

The impact resulted in the deaths of two female passengers , aged 35 and 50 , both from Caboolture, who were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver’s one-year-old son , seated in the back, was seriously injured but stable and taken to hospital for treatment.

The woman driving the car sustained minor injuries , and the truck driver was unharmed .

The accused has been charged with multiple offenses including two counts of dangerous driving causing death while under the influence and speeding , as well as dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm to her child. She is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 17, 2025 .
