Introduction
A man is in critical condition following a high-speed crash in Padstow, Sydney, involving a white Audi that was later identified as an unreturned hire car. Three men fled the scene after the collision and are now the target of an intensified manhunt.

Crash Overview
The crash occurred on Davies Road in Padstow around 10:40 PM on Sunday, August 4th, 2024. The white Audi, travelling at high speed, collided with a silver Nissan that was reportedly making a right-hand turn. The impact caused the Audi to catch fire, which was later extinguished by firefighters.

Injuries and Medical Response
The driver of the Nissan, a 39-year-old man, was rushed to hospital in critical condition and is undergoing surgery. The three occupants of the Audi, believed to be men in their mid to late 20s, fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived.

Investigation and Manhunt
Detective Inspector Jason Hogan revealed that the Audi was an unreturned hire car. Police have launched an extensive manhunt for the three men, urging them to turn themselves in. Authorities are also seeking assistance from the public in gathering information, CCTV footage, or dashcam footage that may be relevant to the investigation.
