On Thursday night, September 26, 2024, at approximately 10:25 PM, a road rage incident occurred in Mandurah, Western Australia, resulting in serious injuries to a couple.

Details of the Incident

The incident began with a minor crash between a white Mitsubishi Triton tray-top and a small silver vehicle on Mandurah Road near Park Road in Greenfields. The vehicles then engaged in a pursuit through several streets. The Mitsubishi Triton eventually pulled over on Crawford Street, and two occupants exited the vehicle. As they approached the silver vehicle, it accelerated and struck them both.

Injuries and Aftermath

The two victims, Ashleigh, 36, and Jason, 38, sustained serious injuries. Ashleigh suffered a broken vertebra and required 170 stitches in her leg. Jason sustained multiple broken bones, including his ribs, eye socket, nose, lower back, and leg. They were both transported to Royal Perth Hospital.

The couple had been taking Jason’s teenage son and his girlfriend for ice cream when the incident occurred. The teenagers witnessed the event and were left traumatized.

Investigation and Appeal for Information

Detectives are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
