Incident Overview

On Monday morning, October 28, 2024, a fatal crash occurred on the Great Eastern Highway at Meckering, Western Australia, approximately 130 kilometers east of Perth. The crash involved three vehicles: a white Nissan Navara utility and two white Toyota Hilux utilities.

Details of the Crash

Around 10:25 AM, the Nissan Navara, traveling westbound on the Great Eastern Highway, collided with the two Toyota Hilux utilities, which were traveling eastbound. The impact of the collision resulted in significant damage to all three vehicles.

Fatality and Injuries

Tragically, the 69-year-old male driver of the Nissan Navara was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the two Toyota Hilux utilities, a 29-year-old man and a 41-year-old man, sustained minor injuries. A 23-year-old female passenger in the Nissan Navara also sustained minor injuries.

Hospitalization

The three injured individuals were taken to Northam Hospital for treatment.
