Incident Overview

A 60-year-old man from Beenleigh has been killed in an alleged hit-and-run incident in Logan, south of Brisbane. The incident occurred on Sunday, December 8, 2024, when his motorcycle collided with a Nissan Navara that allegedly left the scene.

The crash happened around 12:00 pm on Ripley Road at the intersection with Undullah Road in Lyons, Logan, Queensland.

The crash involved a motorcycle and a grey Nissan Navara.

Crash Description

A 60-year-old man was riding his motorcycle along Ripley Road when he collided with a grey Nissan Navara at the intersection with Undullah Road. The driver of the Nissan Navara allegedly fled the scene after the crash.

Injuries/Fatalities

The 60-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene.

Emergency Response

Emergency services attended the scene, but the motorcyclist could not be saved.

Investigation

Queensland Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for the driver of the Nissan Navara to come forward.

Witnesses/Appeals

Police are urging anyone with information about the crash, or anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the Nissan Navara in the lead-up to or following the crash, to contact them.
