Introduction
A tragic accident on the Barrier Hwy near Broken Hill has resulted in the death of a 75-year-old man and left several others injured.

Incident Overview
The crash occurred at approximately 8.45am on Tuesday morning, involving a Toyota Prado and an Isuzu D-Max. The two vehicles collided on the Barrier Hwy northeast of Broken Hill in far western NSW.

Emergency Response
Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene. The occupants of both vehicles were trapped for a short time before being freed from the wreckage by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Casualties and Medical Treatment
The 75-year-old driver of the Toyota Prado was transported to Broken Hill Base Hospital, where he later died. The Isuzu D-Max contained a 61-year-old male driver and two passengers, a 61-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man. All three were taken to the hospital in stable conditions.

Ongoing Investigation
NSW Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
