Introduction
A man has tragically passed away in hospital after sustaining serious injuries in an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) accident on a rural property in northwest Tasmania. The incident occurred while the man was performing his work duties.

Accident Overview
The accident took place on Thursday, August 1st, 2024, shortly before 3:30 PM in Lileah, a rural area located about 137 kilometers northwest of Devonport. The man, aged in his 50s, was herding livestock on the property when the ATV accident occurred.

Injuries and Medical Response
The man suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash and was immediately transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, August 4th.

Investigation
WorkSafe Tasmania has been notified of the incident and is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. A report will also be prepared for the coroner.
