Incident Overview
A fatal crash occurred in Gaven on the Gold Coast in the early hours of Sunday, September 21, 2025. At approximately 2:50 am, a silver Jeep Cherokee parked on the northbound side of the M1 near the Smith Street on-ramp was struck by a grey Toyota Hilux. The Jeep’s driver, a 24-year-old woman from Ormeau Hills, was taken to hospital in a serious condition. The Hilux driver, a 51-year-old Loganlea man, sustained minor injuries.
