  • Injured: 52-year-old male Mercedes driver – sustained leg, neck, and back injuries; taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition
  • Uninjured: 23-year-old female Rolls-Royce driver – uninjured

Crash Description
Police were called to the scene of a head-on crash involving a Rolls-Royce and a Mercedes in Rose Bay. The male driver of the Mercedes was trapped in the vehicle for over an hour and had to be freed by Police Rescue and Fire and Rescue NSW. The woman driving the Rolls-Royce allegedly failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.

Charges and Legal Action
The female driver of the Rolls-Royce was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for mandatory testing and later charged with:

  • Cause bodily harm by misconduct while in charge of a motor vehicle
  • Refuse or fail to submit to breath analysis

She was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on 15 August 2025.

  • New South Head Road was affected by emergency response activity, causing delays during the early morning hours.
