The passenger of the car, a 70-year-old woman, sustained facial and chest injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the car, a 52-year-old woman, and two other passengers, aged 55 and 16, were also transported to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the garbage truck was thankfully uninjured.

A crime scene was established, and Reservoir Road was closed in both directions for some time while police investigated the crash. The road has since been reopened.
