A serious single-vehicle crash occurred in Auchenflower, Brisbane, on Friday, September 27, 2024, resulting in injuries to four young children.

At approximately 1:17 PM, a car carrying a man and four primary-school-aged boys crashed into a power pole on Vincent Street in Auchenflower.

Two of the boys sustained life-threatening injuries. One boy suffered serious abdominal injuries, while the other sustained serious head injuries. Both boys also sustained injuries from their seatbelts. Two other boys in the car were treated for minor injuries.

Emergency Response and Aftermath

Paramedics and police rushed to the scene to provide medical assistance. All four children were transported to Queensland Children’s Hospital. The male driver of the vehicle declined medical assistance but accompanied the children to the hospital.

The crash brought down power lines in the area, prompting local traffic diversions.
