Incident Overview
Three people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the Bruce Highway at Fishery Falls on Friday, 19 June 2026.
Location and Time
Emergency services were called to the Bruce Highway at about 11.11am.
Vehicles Involved
The collision involved a white hire utility, a minibus and a campervan.
Sequence of Events
A Queensland Police update published on 23 June stated that the utility was travelling north when it clipped a minibus travelling south, then continued into a head-on collision with the campervan. This later account clarified the vehicles’ directions reported in the initial release.
Injuries
The utility driver, a 56-year-old Mount Peter man, was airlifted to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. An elderly couple travelling in the campervan were taken by road to Cairns Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No one in the minibus was injured.
Police Investigation
Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
