The crash resulted in the deaths of a 41-year-old man and his 12-year-old daughter, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s 10-year-old son was treated by paramedics and transported to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition. The 52-year-old DiDi driver was taken to Westmead Hospital with serious but stable injuries. The 19-year-old driver of the ute sustained minor injuries and was taken to Liverpool Hospital.

Dashcam footage from the rideshare vehicle indicated that the traffic control lights were operational, and the sedan was undertaking a right-hand turn.
