The driver of the Holden Commodore, a 37-year-old man from Manly West, died at the scene. A 4-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the Holden, was transported to the Queensland Children’s Hospital but later died from his injuries. The driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer, a 29-year-old man from Birkdale, sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

Emergency services responded to the scene promptly. The 4-year-old boy was transported to the Queensland Children’s Hospital, while the injured driver of the Mitsubishi received treatment at the scene.
