A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a vehicle in West Gladstone last night, Wednesday January 25.

Initial information indicates around 7pm a blue holden commodore sedan towing a small box trailer was travelling east along the Dawson Highway near Far Street when a collision has occurred with a black Harley Davidson motorcycle travelling in the same direction.

The driver of the vehicle and several bystanders rendered immediate first aid to the rider, however the 61-year-old South Gladstone man died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 51-year-old Beerwah man and a female passenger were not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
