A 41 year-old Ipswich woman has died following a single vehicle traffic crash at Raceview this morning.

Preliminary information indicates around 10.30am a 2009 blue Hyundai getz was travelling west along Cascade Street when it left the road striking a power pole and coming to rest in a driveway.

Bystanders rendered immediate aid to the two occupants of the vehicle, however the woman died of her injuries at the scene.

The man, aged in his forties was treated for serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, or the moments leading up to it to come forward.

Investigations continue.
