The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a 63-year-old man died following a single-vehicle traffic crash in Peeramon, in the state’s Far North, this morning, February 16.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 11.30am, a Mazda Bt-50 utility was travelling along Anderson Road when it left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver, a 63-year-old Peeramon man, was declared deceased at the scene.

Witness or anyone with relevant information are urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
