A motorbike rider has died following a single-vehicle crash at Numinbah Valley on the Gold Coast this morning, July 10.

Initial investigations indicate just after 10am, a motorbike was travelling along Chesters Road near Nerang Murwillumbah Road when the rider left the roadway and crashed.

The rider, a 40-year-old Burleigh Heads man, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
