Forensic crash officers will investigate the cause of a traffic crash that claimed the life of a 33-year-old man at Miami this morning.

Around 5am, police and emergency services were called to Marine Parade after reports a moped had collided with the side of a parked vehicle.

The male rider sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses or any dashcam to assist with their investigation.
