Incident Overview
A man has died following a two-vehicle crash involving a prime mover truck and a sedan on the Bruce Highway at Glenwood on Friday morning. Police said the truck rolled during the collision and the sedan’s sole occupant was declared deceased at the scene.

Injuries/Fatalities

  • Fatalities:
    • 35-year-old man, Glenwood, sole occupant of the sedan; treated at the scene before being declared deceased.
  • Injuries:
    • Nil reported. The 57-year-old male truck driver and a 59-year-old female passenger were uninjured. No injuries were reported in the second crash on Abbortwelve Road.

Emergency Response

  • Emergency services attended and provided medical treatment at the scene.
  • The sedan occupant was treated at the scene and was not transported, as he was declared deceased.
  • The Bruce Highway was closed in both directions for a number of hours, with traffic diverted via Abbortwelve Road. Abbortwelve Road was temporarily blocked in both directions after a second crash until vehicles were towed.

Police Investigation
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating both the fatal Bruce Highway crash and the subsequent diversion-route crash on Abbortwelve Road. Police have not announced any charges.
