The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash at Gatton yesterday afternoon, March 9.
Initial information indicates that around 4:55pm, a Yamaha Yzf-R1 motorbike was travelling west along Eastern Drive before it lost control and crashed with a white Toyota Corolla travelling in the opposite direction.
The rider of the motorbike, a 34-year-old Wilsonton man, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The occupants of the Toyota, a 34-year-old male driver and a 33-year-old female passenger, were physically uninjured.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have relevant dashcam vision to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
