A 27-year-old man has died following a two vehicle traffic crash at Fairney View, north of Ipswich, this afternoon (February 3).

Initial investigations indicate just before 2pm on the Brisbane Valley Highway, a crash has occurred involving a vehicle and truck.

A 27-year-old Lowood man, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

A 33-year-old North Booval man, the driver and sole occupant of the truck, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and appeal to anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
