A man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Durack yesterday, May 17.

Initial investigations indicate at 1.30pm, a truck and Mazda were travelling along King Avenue, near Inala Avenue and were involved in a head-on collision.

The Mazda caught on fire following the crash and was extinguished by members of the public.

The driver of the Mazda sustained critical injuries and declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
