The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a two-vehicle crash at Drinan near Bundaberg this afternoon, that claimed the life of a 28-year-old Gin Gin man.

Initial investigations indicate around 4:30pm the man’s silver Honda Civic hatch was driving on the Bruce Highway when it collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Honda succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The truck driver suffered minor physical injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen either vehicle in the area at the time, or who may have relevant dash-cam footage to contact them.

Investigations are continuing.
